Speaker: Dr. Alexander-Albritton


About the Speaker:
Dr. Alexander-Albritton is an Associate professor at Western Illinois University – Quad Cities in the Department of Counselor Education where she has taught, supervised, and advised graduate students for eight years. Her scholarly and research interests include women and parenting in higher education, wellness, mentoring, substance abuse, and assessment and diagnosis. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) for over 12 years. Clinically, Dr. Alexander-Albritton has experience working in in-patient and out-patient substance abuse treatment and private practice facilitating individual, couple/family and group counseling. Wellness, job satisfaction, and parenting, continue to be research interest areas of hers. Dr. Alexander-Albritton recently published quantitative research findings related to wellness and job satisfaction with regard to parenting.
