Dr. Day Earns Genesis Distinguished Physician Award for Patient Service Excellence
“Dr. Day is known to all for her contagious smile, her pride for Women’s health, and most of all for her empathy. In 2019, Dr. Day and her husband, Kyle, experienced the loss of their daughter, Ada. While some may have become bitter, Dr. Day and Kyle chose to use their grief to improve the infant and perinatal loss experience for others. While partnering with No Foot Too Small, as well as Genesis Brayden’s Fund, the first fetal bereavement suite was opened and made functioning at Genesis. In addition to this most sacred and amazing space, the entire pregnancy and infant loss experience has been made whole and meaningful through the work of Dr. Day. She has dedicated herself to educating all who encounter the bereaved family. Not only have the bereaved families seen their experiences made whole, but those of us who walk this journey with these families have also become more whole in our duties as healthcare providers- we have truly been taught one of the most important qualities from Dr. Day, empathy.” – Group Physicians
