Dana Hoffman, DNP, A.R.N.P., C.N.M., is an Illinois native with 22 years of nursing experience! She obtained her ADN in 2002 from Sauk Valley Community College and spent 14 more years working as a nurse in Dixon, IL, mostly in the ER. Dana achieved her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Northern Illinois University in 2010 and then her Master's in Nursing/Midwifery from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2012.
While working as a full-scope Midwife in Rockford, IL she finished her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University where she now also teaches future Midwives and WHNPs. She has since provided women's healthcare in North-Central Illinois working in various rural and urban settings. She loves all things birth and contraception!
"I believe that patient education, especially in rural healthcare, is key to helping patients live long and healthy lives,” says Hoffman. “I especially love to care for teen mothers and believe in empowering younger patients to take control of their reproductive healthcare.
Dana has a passion for international travel, hiking, and historical reenacting. She spends her time outside the office with her family and friends, sewing and performing Revolutionary War reenactments all over the Midwest. She has a large family with four grown children; Morgan, Aidan, Ben, and Julia. She also has two grandchildren, Annabelle and Bradyn, plus two dogs, Luna and LuLu who are her pride and joy.
