Get to know Trisha

Trisha Nelson, M.S.N., A.R.N.P., C.N.M., FNP-BC is from Morris, Illinois. She attended Northern Illinois University to become a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and worked for 6 years at an Urgent Care/Emergency Center. Trisha then attended Bethel University for Midwifery before coming to The Group! Trisha has been serving as a midwife at The Group for the past 7 years. Her favorite part about working at The Group is the camaraderie between all of the care providers who provide excellent patient care.

When Trisha isn't at The Group she loves hanging out with her family. She has three kiddos that keep her busy and they are always running somewhere! Trisha and her husband have a pretty extensive family that they love traveling to as well.

“I chose midwifery because I love helping women find solutions that are workable for them. Witnessing women become moms and guiding them through that journey is beyond rewarding. I often share in the best and worst moments of their life and am honored to walk alongside them at these times.”
