Meet Our Physicians

Harold L. Mihm, M.D., is a native Iowan, who grew up on a farm in northeast Iowa. His undergraduate degree was a B.S. in Psychology from Loras College in Dubuque. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1972. He did a year’s rotating internship at Canemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1977. Dr Mihm joined the Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists, P.C. in 1977.

Dr. Mihm lives with his wife, Georgia, in Bettendorf. Georgia has been very active in Bettendorf Community School activities. The Mihm’s have three children, Matt, Martha, and Mary Jo.

His interests outside the office include reading, golf, gardening, and spending time with his family.


Rita K. Aronson, M.D., was born in Aledo, Illinois, just 30 miles south of Rock Island and was raised on a small family farm near Aledo. She attended Augustana College in Rock Island, where she received an elementary education and music certification. After teaching music in Albany, Illinois, she moved to Kansas, where she attended the University of Kansas, both for premedical courses and medical school. Their first daughter was born at the end of medical school.

The Aronson’s then moved to Chicago where she completed residency in the Northwestern residency program. During that time their second daughter was born. In 1991 Dr. Aronson joined "The Group". She delivered their third daughter at Genesis in 1995.

The Aronson’s currently live in Davenport, where she enjoys gardening, knitting, music, and just being together as a family.


Kenneth L. Naylor, M.D., was born and raised in Toole, Utah. His undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Utah in Materials Science and Engineering. He graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1986 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1990. Dr. Naylor joined Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialists P.C. and moved to Bettendorf after completing his residency training. Dr. Naylor completed an American Hospital Association Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship through the Health Research Education Trust in 2007. He currently serves as the District VI Patient Safety Committee Chairman for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Also, serves on the ACOG National Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Committee. He has also been actively involved in patient safety initiatives within the Genesis Health System.

Dr. Naylor and his wife, Sandi have five children. His interests include computers, coaching youth sports, running, skiing, serving missions in the Third World, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Thomas M. Gellhaus, M.D., was born, raised, and educated in a small town in South Dakota. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dr. Gellhaus’ first two years of medical school were completed at the University of South Dakota, with the last two clinical years completed at the University of Oklahoma in 1983.

Following graduation in June 1983, he studied anatomic and clinical pathology in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During this time he learned a tremendous amount of medicine, but discovered that he enjoyed working with patients much more.

After being accepted in the University of Iowa Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, Dr. Gellhaus and his family moved to Iowa City, where he completed four years of extensive training. He has now practiced in the Quad Cities since 1990.

In 1999, Dr Gellhaus was awarded the John McCain Memorial Fellowship by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He has spent a period of time living in Washington, D.C. following federal legislators on women’s health care issues. In 2001 he was awarded the Primary Care Policy Fellowship from the U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services. During this 6 month fellowship he developed health policy that was presented to the U.S. Secretary of Health of Human Services. He also remains active within ACOG at a national and district level advocating for women’s health issues.

Dr. Gellhaus is married to Melanie. They have three children and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys golf and reading. He is committed to missionary work and makes an annual trip to provide ­medical/surgical services in poverty-stricken third world countries.

Carolyn K. Martin, M.D., was raised in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where she earned her Bachelors degree in Chemistry and English. She then returned to the Midwest and graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1988. In 1992 she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, also at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

After a year working overseas in Oxford, England, Dr. Martin joined Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists in 1994. She works part-time in order to enjoy more free time at home with her family.


Briana R. Barclay, M.D. grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology & Exercise Science at the University of Iowa, while also competing in track and cross country for the Hawkeyes. Dr. Barclay graduated from the Uni­versity of Iowa College of Medicine in 2002. She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Barclay joined “The Group” in 2006.

In her free time she enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and son, running, the outdoors, and Hawkeye sports.


Anita L. Pinc, D.O. grew up in Naperville, Illinois. She attended Augustana College receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in psychology. While in preparation for medical school in Chicago, she met her husband, Dr. Alexander Pinc. She received her medical degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medi­cine and acquired an interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her internship at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital and at Michael Reese Hospital. Anita moved to Toledo, Ohio to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Pinc returned to the Quad Cities to begin practice at Illini Hospital Genesis Medical Center and joined Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialists in October 2008.

Anita lives in Moline with her husband, four children and two dogs. She loves spending time with her family and friends, exploring nature, gardening, dance, running, hiking and skiing.
