Amelia Hobbs, C.N.M., is an Illinois native. She joined the United States Army in 2001 and served for several years on active duty and in the National Guard before her discharge in 2007. She pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance with a focus in Athletic Training from the University of Tennessee-Martin. Amelia worked for years in the realm of Physical Therapy and Community Wellness before deciding she wanted to make a different impact in healthcare as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Blessing Rieman College of Nursing and Health Science in 2020 and then went on to achieve her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University in 2023.
"I had amazing and empowering birth experiences, which is part of what brought me to Midwifery," says Hobbs. "I realized that part of my experience was shaped by the skills I acquired while in the world of physical therapy. I hope to utilize my knowledge to educate and help others find their voice in healthcare."
Amelia has been married to her husband Ben since 2011. They have four total children together- Hailee, Logan, Thoren, and Dalton. In her free time, Amelia enjoys exercising and curling up with a good book. Did we mention she is a HUGE fan of The Great British Baking Show... and dessert in general?!
